With the world in a frenzy and everyone being asked to keep their distance, I find that sitting by the window, sketching and drawing is a perfect way to take my mind off of things. Stay safe, be kind to one another and DRAW!!!

I designed this intricate Nightmare Before Christmas pop-up card for LovePop . I’m happy to say it was a top seller in 2019!

Designer backpacks will run you a few stacks $$$. Enough to make you sick but at least you’ll look good.

A perfect MashUp to honor SDCC2019, HELL-KITTY

Below are a few of my responsibilities as an Art Director when working with book cover art. I get the ball rolling by creating a concept sketch for approval. Then, another artist takes that sketch, creates a tight drawing and submits it for feedback. I’ll give overlay notes and suggestions and then final art is created. Most times I’ll get to add some final touches like lighting enhancements or small placement shifts of characters or props.

For no other reason than rabbits are fun to draw, here is brown rabbit, yellow background!

Random fact: While I was with Nickelodeon, my art team was asked to add flames to an already completed illustration of SpongeBob. We had no idea what this was for but soon after, I saw the art featured in the Moschino collection. Pretty cool.

The Nick team is sometimes tasked with developing a character publishing style for book partners like Little Golden Books. Here’s a stylized look that I developed for Dora and Friends on the right.

Nickelodeon’s Super Brawl Universe!!! An awesome game where some of your favorite Nick characters do battle using special moves and unique attacks. I helped sketch the concept layout seen above and credit for final art goes to my art team, Paul Linsley and Story Sabatino.

Now that I have one picture book under my belt, I’m ready to find my next project. Below are a few illustrations in development from an idea that I’ve been working on about Giants. More to come soon.

Flick and Chester was an exciting, character rich game concept that I designed with my friend, Warren Lee to be pitched to Nickelodeon games. It was modeled after the classic game, Snake. The squirrel character, Flick and his chipmunk buddy, Chester run through levels collecting acorns that trail behind them, while avoiding obstacles and baddies. Like classic snake, you don’t want to collide with the trail that follows you so while moving around the board you try to collect power-ups which shorten your trail.

On the hunt for H20

A commission I worked on, creating trading card game style character images of an awesome family of 3.

This is one cute goat! I had fun recreating this character from the popular King game.

My 13 year old self would have had a heart attack if he knew I’d help to create walk-around characters for Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Along with my team at Nickelodeon, I provided concept art and art direction and worked with Animax Designs, who fabricated these awesome costumes.
