When I was a kid, I always thought of Walt Disney Studios as the epitome of artistic success. I wanted to be an illustrator and working for Disney was the goal. In 1989 I remember looking through a magazine and seeing a promo for the rebirth of Disney feature animation, The Little Mermaid. This film brought back the animation industry as a force to be reckoned with and it was exciting! 14 year old me would have geeked out to know that here I am now, illustrating Disney characters and dozens of other properties as my full time gig!

Here’s a fresh take on some of your Neopets favs. There’s so many characters in the world of Neopets, that you can spin a million tales with, that I decided to have a bit of fun with designing a few.

I’ve been working with Penguin Random House on a Disney Princess seasonal series of books. The first to release was Disney Princess, A Special Spring! Next up will be Fall Fun! which has already been announced online, but the cover art is not live online just yet. When it is, I’ll be sure to share it. 2025 Chinese Lunar New Year is on January 29th and this year’s Chinese zodiac sign is the Wood Snake. The Wood Snake is a charming, intelligent and creative sign, but also secretive, cunning and sometimes ruthless. This image features the Neopets character Hissi as Wood Snake
